I was commissioned by Healing Arts to create a leading illustration for their Healing Arts Scotland festival in 2026.

I worked with the team to generate some ideas, relating to their theme of innovation. We looked at what innovation could look like, and instead turned to imagery of human connection, handmade aesthetic and nature. The final illustration is inspired by those ideas of connecting to each other, to nature in Scotland, and to the arts, as a community of people dance around in the Scottish landscape.

Patterns alluding to tartan were used in an expressive way, to subtly represent kilts, and other cultures’ forms of traditional dress.

I created a small looping animation, and created spot illustrations of the characters for use on slides and social media.
